Pinal County, Arizona
Description: Dark green atacamite needle-like crystals are seen embedded in a solid matrix of lighter blue chrysocolla and probably a small percentage of malachite. The specimen comes from the oxide deposit of the San Manuel Mine discovered by George Schultz in 1879, the same person who discovered the nearby famous Tiger Mine in the same year. Rare material today.
