Description: This 4" wide specimen is a rich ore sample of argentiferous chalcocite from the early days of mining in Bisbee. It most likely was from The Cole Mine. The top and bottom have a thin malachite coverage over most of the surface. Assay done by Florin Analytical shows 6.04oz/short ton silver. One old handwritten German label shown is included. This one is an antique specimen dating back at least 100 years. Weight is 1lb, 3.9oz (563 grams).
