Description: This specimen of orthoclase var. microcline is host to several lustrous, jet black crystals of arfvedsonite. The largest is 1.7 cm across and it is doubly terminated. There is also one small zircon found emerging from a microcline crystal. Under SW UV light the hyalite opal on the specimen is brightly fluorescent green. No damage.
