This specimen has an exposed 1+ cm vein comprised of 100% autunite. Autunite is a phosphate containing uranium so it is naturally radioactive. Actually autunite is a very radioactive and should be handled accordingly. Under SW UV light the specimen fluoresces bright yellow green. |
